Trans anethole is the main component of volatile oil, while non-volatile components are diverse, including organic acids, flavonoids, terpenes, phenylpropanoids, sterols, and trace elements. At present, products such as star anise powder, star anise essential oil, and star anise oil resin are used in the food industry.
