Pueraria root is the dried root of the leguminous plant Pueraria lobata (Willd.), mainly originating from the Himalayan region of China. It contains a large amount of starch and cellulose, as well as puerarin, daidzein, β-sitosterol, arachidonic acid, etc. It is widely used in clinical practice and health care.
